GUEST HOUSE FOR KIYOHARU ART COLONY
NEW MATERIAL RESEARCH LABORATORY
- Outline
- This guesthouse with a gallery stands on a site adjacent to the Kiyoshun Art Village, a cultural complex. The roof is thatched with bay cedar, and the top portion of the roof is thatched with a single letter of copper plate, with a sword blade applied to achieve a sharp roof. The main structure is a steel-framed structure with solid steel columns (φ=50 mm), and the elimination of square columns is intended to create a light impression. For the exterior walls, the BF construction method is adopted, which uses large section laminated columns 560 mm wide, enabling a free plan configuration.
