MAEBASHI DE+SIGN PROJECT/BUILDING M(GRASSA)+NAKAMATA

Outline
The pasta restaurant GRASSA (left) and the Japanese sweets shop Nakamata (right) were newly built in a corner of the Chuo-dori shopping street in Maebashi City. The project is part of the Maebashi Design Project, which was launched with the aim of revitalizing the city's hollowed-out shopping streets. While using common design codes such as brick and greenery, the buildings were designed as separate projects, each funded by a different owner.
