GARLOCHÍ

Outline
This is a project to renovate a flamenco restaurant with a history of about 50 years into a new shop following its closure. While retaining the decorative interior, the floor was polished to reveal the materials of the structure, creating a contrasting relationship between the old and the new. For this renovation, natural light was introduced from the rear of the stage. The floor was originally covered with several layers of long vinyl chloride sheets, but these were all removed to reveal the concrete material.
