- The main structure of the school is made of solid small-diameter cedar lumber produced in the prefecture, and by using an open construction method and unifying materials and details, a building system that allows local craftspeople to easily participate is adopted. Furthermore, workshops are held with islanders, including carpenters, to realize a school building made by the hands of islanders.
