TOKAMACHI COMMUNITY CENTER “BUNJIRO”・TOKAMACHI ACTIVITY CENTER “JUJIRO”

Outline: Renovation of two buildings in the central urban area of Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture. From the design stage, the designers set up a branch office of a design office called "Bunshitsu" on site to listen to the voices of the local people. A semi-external space called "Market Square" was created in both buildings, providing a place for activities between the street and the buildings.
