Outline
This is a renovation project of the Kyoto Kaikan, designed by Maekawa Kunio Architects (6007). While the overall structure of the building, including the piloti, courtyard, and buildings surrounding the courtyard, was retained, the exterior and other details, such as the large, horizontally extending eaves, were preserved and restored, while the functions of the interior spaces, including the hall, were renewed.
