AT-GROUP HEAD OFFICE NORTH BUILDING

Outline
This showroom was built as a commemorative project for the 80th anniversary of Aichi Toyota Motor Corporation. The joints between the wooden beams and steel columns are made of steel-framed reinforced concrete, and the concrete is used as a heat-absorbing agent to reduce the temperature of the contact area with the wood to below 260°C, the ignition temperature of wood. The wooden beams placed along the main street that runs along the east and north sides of the building, together with the ceilings and walls, form a backdrop that is intended to be a vessel for opening the colorful cars to the city.
