INAWASHIRO GALLERY

Outline
This is a project to revitalize a storehouse (completed in 1889 as a sake brewery) whose earthen walls collapsed in the Great East Japan Earthquake, leaving its framework in ruins. The warehouse was moved to the same site by an ebb and flow contractor, and after seismic reinforcement, the interior and exterior were newly constructed. The building is now used as a gallery and for concerts.
