- The Japan Pavilion at the Milan International Expo, which opened on May 1. Under the theme of "Food for the Earth, Energy for Life," 145 countries are participating in this year's Expo. Under the exhibition theme of "Harmonious Diversity," the Japan Pavilion consists of an "approach space" consisting of an upper and lower slope and a two-story "main building" that houses exhibitions, restaurants, event spaces, and administrative offices. The steel-framed building is surrounded by a three-dimensional wooden lattice wall.
