TOKYO NIHOMBASHI TOWER

Outline
This is a project for Block E of the Nihonbashi 2-chome District, a special urban renewal district of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government consisting of six districts. The base of the building is a 180-meter-high skyscraper with a high-rise section on top of the 31-meter-high Takashimaya Department Store, the first department store building to be designated as an Important Cultural Property. The two buildings on the northwest corner facing the Nihonbashi intersection will be demolished in Phase II, which will be completed in two years, and new two-story stores will be constructed.
