Outline
The complex, which is currently under construction in Taichung City, consists of three theaters, offices, shops and exhibition spaces, etc. Toyo Ito was selected as the designer in a design competition held in 2005. The building consists of a three-dimensional, curved, continuous structure (catenoid) made of reinforced concrete. The building is six stories above ground and two below ground, and is scheduled for completion in December 2014.
