AFTER SCHOOL DAY-CARE CENTER, KESENNUMA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Outline
In order to rebuild the building as soon as possible, the floor plan was kept as it was before the disaster, but a half-exterior deck was added and a single-flowing roof was used to secure lighting, making the building a more comfortable space. The exterior walls are made of thick sheets of pine wood that were damaged by the disaster. It was completed in April 2012 as the first permanent public facility after the earthquake.
