Renovation of a terrace house in Kita-ku, Tokyo, which used to be company housing for JR. A train tunnel runs beneath the site, and because of the weight restrictions, the renovation was carried out without increasing the weight. Each unit has a floating floor structure with sound-absorbing boards under the newly installed concrete floor to prevent vibration and noise from the trains running underneath.
