SMART HOUSE IN SASEBO

Outline
For the purpose of implementation and verification of future renewable energy supply, a house was constructed in Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, where people actually live and verify the effects. Inside the radiating columns, which are made using Sasebo's shipbuilding technology, cold and hot water flows at a temperature controlled by a seawater heat pump that uses seawater from Omura Bay to provide air conditioning inside the building.
