MEIJI UNIVERSITY KUROKAWA FIELD SCIENCE CENTER

Meiji University's farm is located in the Kurokawa area of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It consists of a main building with classrooms and laboratories, an academy building with a hall and rest rooms, a greenhouse, and a processing laboratory. The main building is a mixture of wooden and reinforced concrete structures, and the wooden part has no bracing or load-bearing walls. The academy building uses LVL made of cedar, a prefectural timber, for the pillars and beams.
