Outline: A 34-year-old unqualified housing complex in Azabujuban was renovated by dismantling everything except for the building frame after seismic diagnosis. A new elevator was installed and the facade was renovated. 8 units are arranged on the first floor with shops and offices. The color of the new façade is chosen to match the color of the adjacent buildings. Due to the different zoning of the west site, the shape of the new building would be complicated by the restriction of the diagonal lines of the sun, and it would not be possible to secure the same volume as the existing building.
