MIZUNOKI MUSEUM OF ART, KAMEOKA

Outline
This museum is located in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture. With the support of the Nippon Foundation, a 90-year-old machiya (traditional townhouse) used as a haircut shop was renovated into an art museum, which is located at a T-junction and has tunnel-like exhibition rooms with large openings that take in the road in front. The museum displays artworks by "Art Brut," or creators who have not received traditional art education.
