KANAZAWA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY BUILDING NO.21

Outline
The building was constructed as part of a campus development project that maximizes the time students spend on campus and allows them to experience both technology (information and actual materials) and art (architecture, landscaping, and artwork). The central cafeteria is in full operation as a campus lounge where students and faculty hang out from morning to night. By adopting louvers on the exterior walls, cut panels on the exterior walls, and a PC roof, the building achieved a 28% reduction in lifecycle CO2 emissions and an A ranking in CASBEE.
