- An environmentally friendly living environment is created from the townscape, and empirical data is obtained through a monitoring system for use in research. A residential area with a common space in the center is created by applying the topographical difference in elevation of the planned site. In the housing units, intermediate areas that connect the inside and outside of the housing units, such as earthen terraces, are incorporated to promote connections between residents.
