Outline: This welfare facility for the elderly is located in Mizuho City, Gifu Prefecture, with a day service center on the first floor and a group home on the second floor. The group home is divided into two units of nine people each, and several small-scale common areas called "rooms" are built like houses. Private rooms are placed on the periphery of the second floor, which is overhung due to the difference in required area. Shading louvers are installed to prevent people from falling.
