KUDOKURINJI TEMPLE

Outline
The main hall and a guest hall of the Jodo sect of Buddhism in Yanaka, Taito-ku, Tokyo. The main hall is six meters square. Because of the limited site in the center of the city, the building is scaled down to fit the surrounding environment. On the south side facing the plaza, four of the six rooms are open. The roofs of the two buildings are both flat thatched with titanium, with the main hall's roof curved and the guest hall's roof warped.
