In 2008, a proposal was submitted for the project and renovation of the closed Chiyoda Ward Nerinari Junior High School, and the team of Masato Nakamura/Command A was selected to manage the project, and Shinya Sato + Mejiro Studio was selected to renovate the school. As the adjacent Nerinari Park was being redeveloped at the same time, the team consulted with the ward and local residents to realize a development plan that was continuous with the facility. The exterior of the building retains the memories of its school days and has not been significantly altered.
