RENEWAL OF ST. MARYS CATHEDRAL TOKYO

Outline
Large-scale renovation of St. Mary's Cathedral, Tokyo Cathedral, which was completed in December 1964 (This Journal 6506). The original stainless steel moldings were replaced with new materials and substrates, the folded plates that had been used for the toplights were removed, and new toplights were installed on top of the existing ones. In addition to the cathedral, the entire site was renovated, including concrete protection and repair of the bell tower, interior renovation of various facilities, and construction of new priests' quarters.
