MILLENNIUM PAVILION IN GONDAR

Outline
A cultural facility to celebrate the 2000th year of the Ethiopian calendar. In the future, it will be combined with a water supply facility equipped with a natural septic tank. It was built mainly with donations from Japan. It is a combination of a Japanese building (except for the fittings and building frame, which were procured locally), which is a relocated structure and fittings from a traditional minka in Shimane Prefecture's Ota City, and an Ethiopian building, which is a relocated traditional Ethiopian "round house" of masonry construction.
