PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION PLAN FOR THE TOKYO STATION MARUNOUCHI BUILDING

Outline
The station is now a two-story building, but when it was built in 1914 to a design by Kingo Tatsuno, it was a three-story structure with a dome that differed from the current shape. In addition, the building has been designated as a special floor area ratio zone. In addition, due to the application of a special floor-area-ratio zone, the excess capacity of Tokyo Station is being transferred to buildings in the surrounding area.
