NAKANOSHIMA RAPID RAILWAY KEIHAN ELECTRIC RAILWAY YASUI ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS

The Keihan Railway Nakanoshima Line, a new subway line running east-west through Nakanoshima, Osaka, opened in October 2008. The interior and exterior of the line are finished mainly with noncombustible wood. Small-scale wooden boxes are scattered throughout the city, accenting the landscape.
