ZOU-NO-HANA PARK / ZOU-NO-HANA TERRACE

Outline
The ZOU-NO-HANA area is located at the intersection of two axes that Yokohama City has been developing: the promenade along the waterfront and the promenade along Nihon-dori Avenue. As part of this project, a breakwater in the shape of an elephant's nose, which sank in the Great Kanto Earthquake, was restored, and the area, which had been used as a warehouse district, was turned into a park. Light-emitting screen panels are placed around the surface of the water, and terraces are created on gentle slopes, hills and continuous terraces.
