INARIYAMA SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN
ATSUSHI KITAGAWARA ARCHITECTS
- Outline
- Reconstruction of an existing school for the disabled. The main structure is a wooden structure made of larch produced in the prefecture. Climbing beams, columns, and canes are used in pairs to create a large space while using materials of small cross-section by using the effect of "meri-komi". The effect of "Meri-Komi" was developed from "Gifu Academy of Forest Science and Culture" (0108). The joints are made simple by not joining two or more members at one point.
