- A one-story kindergarten in the suburbs of Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. No air-conditioning system is installed in the space where the children spend their daily lives. The nursery has openings in two directions, and faces the terrace with deep eaves and a large top light, and the outdoors. The rooms face south, west, and east, creating a different environment for each grade level, allowing the children to feel the daily, seasonal, and annual changes.
