FIGURED GLASS HOUSE
MAKOTO TAKEI+CHIE NABESHIMA / TNA
- Outline
- A house with a studio in a dense residential area. The exterior walls are made entirely of molded glass, and the interior is covered with hollow polycarbonate. On the other hand, the walls and slabs that divide the interior spaces are made of cast concrete, and the interior and exterior walls seem to be inverted. Rooms of various heights are arranged three-dimensionally around the stairwell. This work won the 25th Shinkenchiku Award (formerly the Yoshioka Award).
