NUMAZU CLUB
AKIRA WATANABE ARCHITECT AND ASSOCIATES
- Outline
- The "Numazu Club" used to be a restaurant in the former Miwa Zenbei residence, a traditional Japanese tea house built in Numazu. The building was renewed as a new lodging and dining facility while making use of the old building. The newly constructed villa, with its walls made of woodblocks and roof made of cedar blocks, is designed to harmonize with the existing garden and sukiya. The furniture was designed by Motomi Kawakami. The lighting design is by Haruki Kaito.
