HIROSHIMA-YAKI PROJECT

Outline
A facility for exhibitions and classes related to okonomiyaki, located in an area lined with factories in the western part of Hiroshima City. All of the outer perimeter of the round plane is covered with louvers made of serranganbatu. The angle of the louvers is changed according to the direction to protect the structure and control the amount of solar radiation. The height of the building, 29 meters above the ground, allows for gravity ventilation.
