- A rental tenement house of reinforced concrete masonry construction beside the tracks of a private railway line in Tokyo. For soundproofing purposes, only the entrance is on the wall on the railway line side. The 15 units are all on two levels, and all have different plans. Each dwelling has an exterior space as large as the interior space. This work won the 25th Shinkenchiku Award (formerly the Yoshioka Award).
