House in Konan

Outline: The house is built on a long and narrow site with a frontage of 9,108mm and a depth of 31,783mm from north to south, along a busy road. A buffer zone, the front garden, is placed in front of the entrance on the north side, and when the gate is closed, the living space is in the background, but through the two airpits at the top, a continuous framework of carved woodwork is revealed inside and out. The two gardens on the north and south sides and the living room adjacent to them are united as an atrium, and light is let in through the high sidelights.
