Canal, Doors, and Townscape

Outline: Renovation of a single apartment building completed in 1975. Private rooms, toilets, and bathrooms are placed in a thin, hard enclosure made of steel angles and lumber, and are positioned to one side. Outside of the enclosure is a series of living rooms. The entire room is surrounded by natural light from the veranda and the common corridor, which draws the viewer's attention to the canal and the housescape.
