- The house next door to the designer's own residence and office, "Shizuhara Village House" (2206 in this issue), was purchased and converted into a one-building rental accommodation facility. The multiple buildings are used as a single structure across the site boundary, providing a place for the office staff, guests, and villagers to interact with each other. Waste wood from the renovation is organized and stored on the site, and the facility is also the center of a network for the reuse of wood inside and outside of the village.
