Outline: The property is located in a forest in Karuizawa. The site has an elevation difference of approximately 5,500mm from north to south, and the national forest extends to the west. The first floor was floated to avoid the humidity from the ground peculiar to Karuizawa, and a bridge-like approach was created to take advantage of the difference in elevation of the site. The gabled, single-flow, high-sidelight, and small changes in the shed framing create variations in the structure.
