Around the Courtyard

Furumori Koichi Architectural Design Studio + Yuichiro Kusaba

Outline: A plan to build a new one-story house on the site where the owner's parents' family lives. The house is located so as not to conflict with the parent family's house on the south side of the site. A large courtyard was designed between the main house and the house to provide a buffer and to connect the house with its surroundings. The interior has a lattice-beam roof ceiling.
