Lifebase in Kawasaki

Outline: Located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a built-up residential area, the first floor has a 3,400mm-high opening made by combining sashes, while the second floor is finished like an old shed, giving it the appearance of a town factory in Kawasaki Ward. Except for the frame, the rest of the construction was done by the designer's own initiative. To project the daily activities into the space, the project was an open gathering of techniques that anyone can do with materials that are available anywhere.
