Shigehara Honmachi House
Tomoaki Uno Architects
- Outline
- The building is located in a suburban area where farmland and residential land are mixed. Because of the slope, the building was raised approximately 1.9 m above the ground to create a pilotis. In order to eliminate on-site fabrication, the modules were set to fit the 90mm-square Japanese cedar (h=3,000mm) used for the walls. The gable roof has four top lights.
