Outline
The building is located in a mixed area of residential and agricultural land, facing a busy highway on the east side. The structure of the building is based on the traditional Japanese house form, the kawari-ya, which is an L-shaped combination of a main house and a stable. One volume consists of a parking lot, a dirt floor entrance, a dining room and a kitchen, and the other volume consists of a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.
