Villa in Tsurudamari Karuizawa

Outline
Built on a sloping site on a ridge in Karuizawa, the building consists of a mixed structure of reinforced concrete on the first and mezzanine floors and wood on the second floor. The photo shows the second floor with the openings fully opened. Volumes containing storage, stairs, kitchen, water, guest room, and other functions are arranged in a rectangular plane that runs east to west, gently dividing the space.
