Office in shimogawara-cho

Outline
Renovation of a building constructed in the Taisho era and later extended. The new opening in the center of the building is constructed by using the existing wooden fittings that were removed. The openings that were scattered throughout the building are consolidated, while others are blocked off as walls to create spaces with different qualities of light. Plants grow vertically in the atrium, and a low space is created at each end of the atrium.
