Akishima house

Outline
This tube-shaped one-story house has a trapezoidal plan that follows the shape of the site, and a courtyard that reverses the external shape. By raising the building by one layer, the line of sight with the surroundings is intersected, and lighting and ventilation are secured. The structure is constructed with 190.7mm steel pillars and a steel frame up to the bottom of the foundation, and the feet of the steel pillars are independent foundations. The broken stones on the ground contribute to the rainwater circulation as well as to the inheritance of the memory of this area.
