Hanami no Ya
Hiromichi Nakamura and Associates Architects and Planners
- Outline
- The concept of this project was to create folds of space by bending a single wall, and to bring the Shakujii River and its rows of cherry trees into the interior. The large roof has a gentle slope and elliptical openings for a view of the river, and the interior is filled with round, triangular, and square shapes.
