Piccolo Teatro

Outline
The pentagonal contour of the site and the five-fold roof create a single-room space, with three steps up from the earthen floor on the first floor to the kitchen and dining space, followed by six spaces on the second floor. Each space has a hip wall or partition wall of different heights, and from the atrium side it looks like a box floating in the air, but when you go around the back, it looks like a stage set. The various materials and finishes give the building a rich expression.
