卍(swastika) type house

Katsutoshi Naoi＋ Noriko Naoi　Kenji Nawa ／ nawakenjimu

Outline: This swastika-shaped plan has a north-south garden and a living and dining room in the center of a volume divided into two buildings, east and west. The living and dining rooms seem to pass through the garden and each building. The interior and exterior walls are structural walls and are finished with finely segmented urin wood. The spaces between the urin walls are slit-like openings and windows, and each room is enclosed but gently connected.
