A public library in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, with a hall, meeting rooms, a children's library, and administrative offices on the first floor, and reading rooms on the second and third floors. The exterior of the library is a GRC "perforated wall" made of 6,000 glass blocks, and the four perforated walls allow natural light suitable for reading to penetrate evenly into the interior during the daytime, while at night the interior light leaks out and the entire volume glows.
