Seismic retrofit of an 11-story laboratory building completed in 1979. Rocking wall columns with pin joints were installed at six points of the existing building's kinks, based on the architectural structure of a "heart bar". The rocking wall columns are installed at six points in the nicks of the existing buildings, and the ground contact points are pin-jointed. An aphorism of a great man is engraved on the lower end of the wall pillar.
