TEKITEKI-AN

Outline
A small hermitage built in Kamanuma Kita village in Kamogawa City. The site was chosen to be surrounded by nutmegans and oysters, and the architecture was incorporated into the larger water cycle in which rain soaks the ground, which in turn soaks up the rain and produces nutmegans and oysters. Many of the materials were generated from work in the satoyama where the hermitage stands.
